A stay on Mackinac Island. We were fortunate enough to hop a ferry to Mackinac Island where we took a carriage tour, visited a butterfly garden, visited Fort Mackinac, bought pounds of fudge, saw the Arch Rock in Mackinac Island State Park and stayed in a beautiful hotel.
Visiting State Parks. We had the opportunity to do a little hiking in two state Parks: Tahquamenon Falls with a collection of 6 waterfalls and Palms Book which features the Kitch-iti-kipi fresh water spring.
Connecting the Great Lakes. We took a tour of the Soo Locks by traveling from Lake Huron to Lake Superior and back (in a boat of course). We also drove over the "Mighty Mac" (Mackinac Bridge) with Lake Huron to our East and Lake Michigan to our West.
Shipwreck adventures. In Michigan, we went on a glass-bottom boat tour in Lake Superior and looked at two shipwrecks underwater. Later, we headed to the Shipwreck Museum on Whitefish Point where we saw artifacts from several shipwrecks.
We went to Michigan! 4 Adults and 22 Students toured the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a week in June. We had many fun adventures. Thank you to everyone who supported our journey. Stay tuned for more pictures.
